The Gecko Software Affiliate program provides an excellent opportunity to earn commissions and generate leads. By using our professionally designed materials and customized links, you'll get credit for driving traffic to Gecko Software's sites and selling its products.
When you register for the affiliate program, we'll provide you with a unique affiliate code to track the number visitors you refer, and any trial sign-ups or sales resulting from these referrals. You'll be notified each time a visitor requests a trial or makes a purchase. We'll even give you the contact information for each of these visitors to increase your company's lead pool. Any commissions you earn will be mailed in check form the first week of each month.

The Gecko Software Affiliate Program is 100% FREE. There are no sign-up costs or ongoing fees associated with membership.
Most sites will qualify. Anyone can submit an application, but Gecko Software reserves the right to deny or discontinue membership if your site contains offensive material or violates the Affiliate Program Terms.
Your customized code can be used on as many websites as you wish, however, if you would like to track the performance of multiple websites separately, please contact us at 1-800-862-7193 or affiliate@geckosoftware.com to set up additional codes.
Your customized affiliate code is incorporated into each tracking link corresponding to a banner graphic, video, or text. When a visitor clicks through to a Gecko Software site, this code identifies it as coming from your site. When this specific visitor requests a trial or places an order, you get credit because of this code. You can track the number of clicks, trials, and sales you've received through the Gecko Software Account Manager. If you have not have set up a password, simply click forgot password and one will be sent to your e-mail address.

Your tracking link works by dropping a cookie into the visitors web browser. This cookie allows us to identify this user as yours. When a user navigates across multiple websites or even does not return to your site or ours for a number of days, this cookie is still active and will give you credit for referring the visitor when they return to request a trial or make a purchase. Our tracking assures that you get credit where credit is due.
A number of resources and their associated links can be found in our step 2 section. You must insert your affiliate code into the link to ensure proper crediting.
All graphics are supplied with the html source code. Simply copy this text, insert your affiliate code, and paste the text into the html of your website where you would like the graphic, video, or text to appear.
Links will receive the most clicks when they are placed in prominent, easy-to-find locations such as your homepage or navigation bar. They should also be included in any email advertising you send regarding Gecko Software Products. You can track the number of clicks, trials, and sales you've received through the Gecko Software Account Manager.

Make sure that your affiliate code is in the tracking link, then test, test, test. Click on the link to verify that it is active, and request a trial or place a free order. You should receive an email confirmation. Try this on different computers or with different browsers if you like.

The more you promote Gecko Software, the more commissions you'll earn. There is no limit on how much you can earn, nor is there a minimum level of sales required to qualify for the program. Commissions range from 10-20% of sale amount. See the Affiliate Commission Rules for more information.
All Gecko Software products are commissionable, with the exception of printed manuals and certain training events.
Commission checks are mailed the first week of every month for sales made in the previous month. For example, commissions for sales made in the month of February are paid the first week of March.

No commission checks are mailed for members of the VAR program. As a VAR, you pay the discounted rate for your inventory at the time of purchase; then, when you sell the product, you charge the full value to your customer.. Example: If you purchase five copies of Track 'n Trade, you would pay $137.90 per copy with your 30% discount. You then sell the product at the retail price of $197.00, your profit or "commission" would then be $59.10 per copy.
It is recommended that you sell the software for the manufacturer's suggested retail price. However, with the VAR program our intentions are that you "bundle" the software with one of your own products or services, therefore eliminating a "retail" price war; thus the term "Value Added Reseller".
Option 1: You can choose to have Gecko Software drop-ship this item to your customer, but your commission would then fall under the 20% Affiliate Commission structure for that order.
Option 2: You can place a VAR order for a minimum quantity of five for that product.
Data is handled under the Affiliate Program Rules and is not a VAR discountable service. There are no discounts available to the end-user (consumer) for data services, therefore it is a requirement that all VAR's sell the data service for full retail value as priced on Gecko Software's own website. Gecko Software offers a flat 20% commission to VAR's on all "initial" data sales.
Example 1: A VAR client purchases an annual data subscription service for $199 directly from Gecko Software, the VAR would then receive a 20% commission of the entire annual data subscription amount. (In this example, that would be $39.80 ea.)
Example 2: A client purchases a monthly data subscription service for $19.95, the VAR would receive a 20% commission of the "initial" order of $19.95. (In this example, that would be $3.99) No further commissions follow. This encourages VAR's to bundle/promote the annual data subscription services
